Who we are

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address, telephone number and the content of your message. When you book through our online booking engine, the booking provider collects the details needed to make and manage your reservation. We also collect standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type through our hosting and analytics providers, and cookie data as described in our Cookie Policy.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, take and manage bookings, provide our services during your stay, meet our legal obligations and, where you have agreed, send you offers and news. Our legal bases are the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in running the hotel and responding to you, and your consent where we ask for it.

Who we share it with

Enquiry emails are delivered by Mailgun. Online bookings are processed by RoomRaccoon, our booking engine provider. Our website is hosted by GitHub Pages with Cloudflare. Cookie consent is managed by Cookiebot. We do not sell your personal information. We share it with other third parties only where required by law.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to two years. Booking records are kept for seven years to meet accounting requirements. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email info@scafellhotel.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
